Full-Time Physician Assistant Program Director
• Oversee and direct academic programs and community partnerships; and serve as an integral member of the College of Health Sciences leadership team. Direct and oversee personnel management, faculty development, new program development and implementation, curriculum assessment and revision, budgeting, strategic planning, facilities management and technology coordination. Serve on institutional and professional committees. Provide direction and supervision of PA self-study, substantive change reports and other accreditation documentation to meet PA accreditation standards of ARC-PA.
Candidates must have earned a master’s degree from an accredited PAS program and institution and hold a current NCCPA certification or be a board certified (ABMS or AOA) physician with a current North Carolina license or be able to be licensed in North Carolina. A doctoral degree in an area related to requirements of the position, higher education teaching experience, and previous experience as an administrator in a PA program are highly desired. A minimum of three years’ experience as a clinically practicing PA is required.
