Part-Time Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
NURSE PRACTITIONER/PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT – PART TIME
The advanced practice provider position functions as care provider to provide all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatment and consultation while maintaining and promoting the health of the patient. The NP/PA position provides education and care to patients in the focus area of Endocrinology. This position, under the supervision of a physician, will diagnose, order tests, serve as a patient’s healthcare provider, prescribe medications as appropriate. Position is for outpatient/in-office work only – no hospital work.
3-provider dynamic team, with office in the heart of the Texas Medical Center looking for ideal candidate to join the team. Full support of strong administrative and clinical staff. Work as a close-knit team with 100% Physician supervision. Innovative office performing in-office thyroid procedures such as ultrasounds, FNA, radiofrequency ablation of the thyroid as well as Diabetes care and weight management clinic. Position is for part-time with opportunity for full-time position with benefits. Parking is included with this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience preferred, particularly in Endocrinology care, but willing to train the ideal candidate.
Masters degree in Nursing
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
Recognized and licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) in the State of Texas
Texas RN/PA license
Prescriptive authority privileges through the State of Texas
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration (or must be obtained within 60 days of hire)
